Football Spread Pool

Privacy policy

Last updated

Football Spread Pool is a personal desktop tool for its owner's local NFL spread-pool tracker.

Gmail access

The application requests only Gmail read-only access (gmail.readonly). Google's permission covers reading the mailbox; it is not restricted to a single label.

The application narrows discovery to the configured pool label and related conversations, previously retained conversations, and explicitly requested recovery of relevant sent replies. It uses the configured season window when retaining original messages. Relevant unlabeled replies, including sent replies in these conversations, can be included.

The application does not send mail or change messages, labels or read status.

Data used and stored

The application reads account and label information to verify the intended mailbox and find the configured pool label. It uses message content, headers and attachments to identify pool lines, actual sent picks and organizer reports.

Original messages, local processing records and OAuth credentials are stored on the owner's computer in private directories. Derived pool facts are stored in the local tracker and may be included in the owner's private project repository, backups or exports. Raw email and credentials are excluded from the project's Git repository.

Original messages support source review. Capturing a message does not by itself establish an accepted pool record.

Sharing and Google services

The application does not sell Gmail data or use it for advertising. The Gmail integration does not upload message content to a hosted analytics or AI service. Google receives the authentication and Gmail API requests needed to provide access; Google's handling of those requests is described in its Privacy Policy.

Football Spread Pool's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and control

Local files remain until the owner deletes them. Owner-managed backups or exports may retain separate copies.

Gmail access is optional. The owner can revoke the application's access through their Google account. Revoking access stops future Gmail API access by the application but does not delete already retained local records. Disable recurring intake before removing its local credentials or source files.

This information site

These static pages contain no mailbox data and include no forms, scripts or analytics. The hosting provider may process standard request information to deliver and secure this site.
